Agricultural Extension Service
The Agricultural Extension Service began in Hardeman County in September 1914. This organization teaches farmers, agribusiness representatives, and the general community the latest land and agricultural management practices, which includes better environmental stewardship. Today Hardeman County is first in the state in hardwood saw log production. Hardeman County's vibrant hardwood industry and rich agricultural background has helped the county grow and prosper.

- Family/Consumer Science — To strengthen families, individuals and communities through education. The county program is a vital link in delivering current, research-based education to you.

- Master Gardener classes
- Co-parenting classes
- 4-H Program - 4-H clubs meet in the schools monthly from October to April offering several 4-H projects and judging teams
