Lone Oaks Farm is a place like no other. Located near Memphis and Jackson, in Middleton, TN, and encompassing 1,200 acres with a diverse mixture of pasture, woodlands, trails and sixteen lakes, it epitomizes Tennessee’s natural beauty.  This, in conjunction with its thirteen residences and many other buildings and event spaces that represent world-class architectural design and construction, along with the largest collection of antique American hand tools in the country, makes Lone Oaks Farm an impressive property indeed. This destination isn’t only a showplace, but a working farm – a place where hay, livestock, and fruit and vegetable crops are produced in abundance.

The University of Tennessee became aware of Lone Oaks Farm when UT Extension, a unit within the UT Institute of Agriculture, was looking for a site to create a new 4-H Center in West Tennessee. During its explorations, UT realized it had the opportunity to create something at Lone Oaks Farm a premier 4-H Center but also much more — a place where education, agriculture, conservation, hospitality, tourism, and community development all come together.

Lone Oaks Farm will become the national model for connecting youth and adults to the land and using the outdoors to encourage a deep appreciation for the land, conservation, and agriculture.  Lone Oaks Farm will help drive economic development in the region by offering a world-class venue for education, leisure travel, special events, and business retreats.
