Salant earned her MFA from Memphis College of Art and has distinguished herself as a photographer, video artist, and installation artist. Her project with Crosstown Arts in 2011 illuminating 40 windows of the iconic Sears building on Cleveland Avenue with dynamic colored lighting effects was a hallmark of that organization's efforts to reinvigorate the district. Her work with Live from Memphis and Indie Memphis further contributed to the creative milieu of the city, establishing Salant as a consummate cultural arbiter.
