Huger Foote is a native Memphian and inveterate traveler whose work has been shown internationally in exhibitions from Memphis to London, New York to Brussels and beyond. This photograph was taken in London's Hyde Park, the result of a spontaneous moment stumbled upon by chance. Influenced by the writings of philosopher Henri Bergson's notions of the influence of duration as an ineffable and intuitive force upon an individual's understanding of any experience, Foote's image connotes an almost dream-like vision of the scene.
