A native of Memphis, Tamboli is widely recognized for his large-scale bronze and welded steel works, including the iconic Pangean Disc located outdoors at Poplar Avenue and Walnut Grove. He has featured in exhibitions and collections nationwide and internationally, and travels extensively in a constant effort to discover new sources of inspiration. Of his Destino III (2007), he states "As we move along our path through life with well made plans and thoughtful intentions unexpected surprises always appear. These surprises are often so big that they change our path, become part of us and recreate who we are in real time. This is the persistent adventure of destiny."
