Gingold's work represents the human body in a timeless fashion. The use of porcelain and wood hold redolent associations of the touch of the artist's hand, of the artistry and attention with which each piece is crafted. Gingold's torsos possess a certain elegant je ne sais quoi that communicates a kind of unspoken elegy.
